Born of an ancient civilization, Cairo is a vast metropolis centered around the Nile. Its sheer scale can feel overwhelming (especially when flying over Cairo Airport), so plan ahead. An obvious starting point are the Giza Pyramids. Although the pharaohs are long gone, the grandeur of their burial pyramids, the Sphinx and Solar Boat are testament to their ambition.
The city’s Egyptian Museum houses a dazzling display of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including finds from Tutankhamen's tomb in Luxor. Around the corner is Tahrir, a huge square and focal point of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.
East is Islamic Cairo, home to the 9th-century Ibn Tulun Mosque, Al-Azhar Mosque (site of the world’s oldest university), and the Khan el-Khalili souk (remember to haggle). The Citadel, with its elegant Mohammed Ali Pasha Mosque, sits on a hill offering far-reaching city views.
If you need a break from cultural tours, take a Nile cruise by felucca, spot wildlife in Wadi Digla desert park or visit Egypt’s top theme parks: Dream Park and Magic Land, where you can tour Egyptian TV studios.
Before heading to your Cairo accommodations, sample the local cuisine – the falafel and fuul (bean paste) are delicious. Coffee is a staple and there are hundreds of shisha bars, while major Cairo hotels have bars serving alcohol.

Cairo is a must see place, This hotel layout is nice with cottages, but rooms look old and bathrooms need a complete makeover, worn out look, tap in the tub had a leak. House keeping was not up to the mark as they forgot to place coffee and tea sachets. On requesting, it took 2 hours to reach the room. No mini refrigerator in the room. Needs more power plugs for charging devices. Something needs to be done for the mosquitos there after sunset. I stayed in Jaz group hotel in Cairo and Sharm. Both places need to revise their menu to add more international/asian stuff.

Cairo is notoriously chaotic, and has the traffic and noise issues to prove it. But still a splendid place to explore Egyptian history and culture, with iconic landmarks like the Pyramids of Giza and the Nile River. The Egyptian Museum is a must-visit destination when in Cairo, but needs more care and structure update, most of its archaeological treasures are just there displayed without proper care, it was a bit disappointed. The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is a new museum, covering all the different historical periods that encompass Egypt's history and is where the royal mummies are located now. Khan El Khalili Bazaar has a vibrant energy and is an important district for both cultural and economic activity, but be prepared to be harassed by the vendors who may follow you trying to convince to buy in his shop. You can’t go to Cairo and not see the Pyramids of Giza, it's a very popular destination and always busy. You can do it by yourself or hiring a guide. I walked around by myself and it was great since we did in our time and speed, also be prepare to be approached many times for camel or horse rides. Often referred to as the cradle of civilization, Cairo is a trip worth taking once.

The history and the sights are unbelievable.
The history and the sights are unbelievable. But I have traveled to over 40 countries and Cairo was definitely the most stressful place I have ever been. You have to be alert always with the different scams that are all around. Also the driving and walking is extremely dangerous. I never felt danger from the people, but great danger from getting hit by cars, trucks, motorcycles , tuk tuks.
The staff is definitely the best part of staying in the Atlantis Pyramids Inn. They were all very friendly, helpful and attentive.
The terrace with views of the pyramids is downright breathtaking. It doesn't matter if you're there for breakfast and tea, water or dinner with a nice Egyptian lager, at sunrise or during the night, the view never disappoints.
The room is small but tidy and clean, and so is the bathroom.
They arranged taxis from and to the airport for a fair price.
•Excellent clean well organized hotel
Very very cooperative staff specially
(Ms. Dala) in the reception is a so kind polite good person and very helpful..
• Booking was smooth and fast
•Rooms are very clean and fully equipped
• Very quiet hotel
• Very close to pyramids
• best value for money
• very comfortable bed, Air conditioning is cold/hot
•it is Better to book a deluxe room
•Breakfast has a very good variety of Egyptian food
*Overall all excellent stay 9.5/10
This hotel is quite literally perfect - the location is incredible, breakfast whilst looking at the pyramids is a real highlight. The staff are absolutely fantastic, the best customer service we had whilst we stayed in Egypt, nothing was too much trouble whether that was an early or late check in, helping us with a taxi to the airport. The beds were really comfy & bathroom clean & high pressured hot water! Don’t hesitate over booking here!
The room had everything needed for a solo traveler coming for few days. The location is great because everything is nearby. The staff was the best part of the hotel. Super nice, friendly, respectful and very, very helpful. I'm not sure I've ever seen such a genuinely good staff. Every single one of them. Do not ever change them. The wifi was working perfectly which is very rare for Egypt. I would recomment it to anyone, no mistake.
this hotel is ran by the most respectful and helpful staff I've ever encountered; Mo, Sayed and others went above and bevond to make us feel comfortable. The rooftop taurant is a hotspot for view of the pyramids. they serve delicious fresh juices (recommend fresh guava juice!) and the best grilled chicken Mohamed used to offer the most beautiful tours of trips inside Egypt. Upon arrival, you could ask about the trips 🐪🐪
The hotel is located in downtown Cairo, amazing location and close by to most tourist attractions. the staffs are polite, the guest relations manager Nevine was an absolute delight, she made sure our stay was comfortable. Our first room had some problems so she upgraded us to a better room. The hotel has many restuarants and its own shopping complex, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, spa….overall one of the best 5 stars.
Fantastic view from the top. The staff are very helpful, they organized all trips we wanted. A half day trip is 30 dollars + tip.
Surprisingly good breakfast at the top. Airport shuttle for 20 dollars. The best if you pay Egyptian pound, and change your euro on the black market. 1 euro in the hotel 33 is EGP while on the black market (black market=any shop) 50 EGP.
Absolute gem in terms of monetary value and comfort. So far it’s the best hotel in Egypt we stayed in ( it’s been more than 2 weeks of travelling across the country and a lot of hotels ranging 3-5 stars). It’s new , very well designed and staff makes its wonderful because humans are humans and we always seek for great and friendly communications during the travel.
It was amazing stay,so friendly owner n all staff members. Help with everything you need, nice room with pyramids view, area amazing if you want to see real n authentic Egypt, pyramids very near ,you can walk, cheap taxi to every destination. Nice breakfast. Was travelling for 3 days it’s totally not enough for Cairo, for sure will come back n come back to this hotel:)
Still my favorite hotel in Cairo. The staff is the prominent advantage of the hotel. They are doing the best of the best for guests comfort. Special thanks to the professional receptionist Ahmad Rabie. The hotel overall environment is exciting there are different restaurants, activities and parties. It's quite and close to the airport.
The terrace enjoying the Giza view was beautiful. The breakfast was okay compared to what we ate in Egypt. Our tour guide, Muhammed Gaber, was a fantastic guide. He was truly the best thing that happened to us in Egypt. Our driver, Muhammed, was very respectful and polite. Some hotel staff members were friendly and helpful.
Staff is incredibly friendly. Hotel is safe and secure. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. The bed is very comfortable. A/C works fine. Curtains are decent, although light still comes in around the edges. WiFi is okay. Decent location for Egypt, but there are very few restaurants around. Breakfast is decent.
Location, everything is next to you or by taxi for less than 10 minutes drive
Staff, special thanks to Noha from reception she made our stay a memorable stay by all means
Facilities including restaurants, pool and rooms
Everything met our expectation as always from four seasons hotels
The view is just incredible and the best you can book close to the pyramids. It is really comfortable but not comparable to a 5 star hotel (for example the furniture in the room.) But still it was 100% worth the money and the view from the room and the roof top is INCREDIBLE.
Top location, just 10 minutes walking from the Egyptian museum; stores and restaurants very close to the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and kind. The room was very nice, spacious and clean. Free wifi. Great breakfast. Best value for money
Madina Hostel is just amazing! Mustafa and his team are pure honey. It‘s as clean as in a 5 star hotel. I was so impressed. Came many times to Cairo before but this is DEFINITELY the best place to stay.
P.S.: The free breakfast is insane. Much love…
The place is clean and comfortable
Staff very humble and helpful
Security at the entrance available at any given time.
Price is cheaper comparing to other hotels
Location is close to malls and restaurants and airport is about 15 mins away or less
The staff is very kind and helpful. I am a U.S. female solo traveler who travels frequently to Egypt. I highly recommend this hotel. This hotel is also very clean, updated, and conveniently located close to the airport and shopping.
I think this is one of the best hotels in the area or in Egypt
The breakfast was wonderful
And I asked for very strong coffee and I got amazing one
Thank you for your help and the gifts before we check out
Very nice room (suite) in a great location (Zamalek). Ahmed and the rest of the hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel truly welcome. Best hotel of our three weeks travel through Egypt.
